Treasurer

Oversee all bank accounts held by the Lodge, and ensure that they are operated in accordance with the agreed bank mandate (s).  

Collect subscriptions and any other sums due from the members including the overall responsibility for the collection of dining fees.  

Ensure prompt settlement of liabilities for goods and services supplied to the Lodge. Pay promptly all dues and fees required by Provincial Grand Lodge and UGLE. Liaise with the Lodge Charity Steward with regard to any charity collections, the Lodge Relief Chest account, if any, and deal with charitable disbursements.  

Maintain close attention to the overall financial position of the Lodge, amending subscriptions for which purpose notice of motion is to be given at a regular meeting and the motion to be included on the summons for the next regular meeting.  This process MUST be completed prior to the start of the Lodge financial year in which any change of subscription is to take place. Annually prepare a full statement of accounts, to the date specified in the Lodge By-laws, showing the financial position.
